Development of Gas and Oil Industry in Conditions of Adverse Geopolitical Situation: Historical Experience and Modernity
Abstract
The article analyzes the problem of providing the oil and gas industry with domestic equipment under sanctions from foreign partners. The author studies factors of influence of a geopolitical situation in the world on the development of extracting branches of economy. The historical example shows how the USA sanctions policy against the USSR led to the creation of high-quality equipment and equipment for the stable functioning of the oil and gas complex, and to the breakthrough in ensuring high physical and moral durability of fixed assets.
