Phenomenon of Adaptation of the Buddhist Theory and Practice Through the Traditional Outlook of the Mongolian People
Abstract
Potential opportunities of the Mongolian society not only to perceive and adapt Buddhist traditions, modernizing their own traditional ethnic religious regulations, ceremonies and rituals and transforming them, having pushed a pantheon of Buddhist deities as priority, are rather high. The article reveals the tendencies of the development of a phenomenon of adaptation the Buddhist theory and practice by traditional consciousness of the Mongolian people during the different historical periods. The author touches on some issues of the transformation of the mentality of the Mongolian people due to acceptance Buddhism, which demonstrate that the traditional religious culture of the Mongolian metaethnic community is based, first off, on the specific vital material, evolution of their human experience, and lifestyle in their specific vital territory. The author pays a special attention to historical conditionality and potential possibility of the Mongolian people to adapt of innovative structures.
