The West and the Rest: a Socio-Economic Base of the Formation of Social Values and Cultural-Political Identity
Abstract
The spiritual values of society are the foundation of information security; that is why monitoring of the socio-cultural sphere and the moral climate is one of the most important tasks, without the proper solution of which the fruitful ongoing development is not possible. In the age of crisis of multiculturalism, the clash of civilizations and the confrontation of cultures the necessity of understanding the causes of the transformation of values is increasing. The dynamics of the occurring socio-cultural processes directly affects the information security of the society, as it affects collective identities and the degree of consolidation of the society. Study of these processes has particular relevance for multinational and multi-confessional states, including Russia.
