The Analysis of Interpretation of the Term «Middle East» by Western Authors
Abstract
Since the end of 2010, most reports of Russian and foreign media were beginning from the words «the Middle East», but at the same time this term does not always include identical list of states. That is why in the article the author analyzes approaches to understanding the term «the Middle East» by western authors and also the reasons of divergence in understanding of this term. The author considers that understanding of geographical boundaries of the modern Middle East is an important task for politicians and scientists; it will promote reducing tension in the region and around it. Also the solution of this problem will help to solve many problems in teaching schoolchildren and students. As a result the article contains the author's position on the list of the states, which compose the modern Middle East.
