Aristocracy Corporations in the Books of Titles of the Royal Governors of the Second Half of the 17th – the Beginning of the 18th Century

Abstract
The article is devoted to the role of aristocracy in the diplomatic sphere and the claims of aristocratic families to occupy the highest diplomatic positions associated with the assignment of the titles of royal governors. The titles of royal governors are the way for more accurate ranking within the service group, which had boyar and okolnichy ranks. The author characterizes the tendency of allocation of the super-elite among the aristocracy itself. The article traces the state's policy aimed at using the titles of royal governors to consolidate the leading position of the representatives of the Near Duma within the framework of the Boyar Duma.
