Theatre Contacts between Russia and China in the First Half of the 20th Century

Abstract
The article is devoted to the dynamics of the theatrical dialogue between Russia (the USSR) and China in the first half of the 20th century. This article examines the dynamics of the theatrical dialogue between Russia (USSR) and China in the first half of the 20th century. The period under study is characterized by the beginning of a dialogue and intensive interaction between the two countries in the field of theatrical arts. Russia was searching for a new reality in the performing arts, while Chinese theater, influenced by socioeconomic and political changes occurring in the country, was undergoing transformations and finding new paths to improvement. This article analyzes issues of cultural exchange between the two countries and the process of synthesizing their theatrical traditions. The material examined in this work reflects the relevance and necessity of a comprehensive approach to studying theatrical contacts between Russia and China in the first five decades of the 20th century, incorporating historical analysis, empirical research, and consideration of the influence of cultural, social, and political changes. This approach allows for a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of interaction and the development of effective strategies for further strengthening cultural ties between Russia and China.
