Political Significance of Light Industry in Russia under International Sanctions and Logistical Challenges

Abstract
In the context of international sanctions and logistical challenges, Russia's light industry faces significant challenges, requiring the adaptation of political processes and institutions. This article aims to explore the importance of Russia’s light industry under current conditions, assess its influence on political processes and institutional transformations, and analyze political strategies and measures aimed at supporting the industry. The author pays a special attention to the interaction between light industry and political institutions, as well as its impact on economic security and social stability in the country. The article provides a definition of light industry and classifies enterprises based on the type of products they produce. It examines the effects of sanctions on production processes, supply chains, and political responses. Additionally, the paper discusses political initiatives and import substitution programs designed to sustain the light industry. Finally, the author draws the conclusion regarding the significance of light industry for Russia’s political stability and economic security.
